About ADVANCED PAIN CARE

Advanced Pain Care is a medical practice committed to providing the highest quality pain management service for a variety of painful conditions. We believe that effective treatment starts with the establishment of the correct pain diagnosis. We look at the whole person including the psychological impact of chronic pain, and how this impacts upon recovery. This approach leads to the most effective treatment available. We provide a broad range of treatments, both traditional and alternative, to treat and rehabilitate the painful condition. In addition to pain relief, restoration and maintenance of function is the focus of our treatment. Dr. Greenberg is an active instructor for the most prestigious interventional pain organization (ISIS), and stays on the “cutting edge” of the specialty of pain management. We look forward to partnering with both patient and other providers involved with the individuals care.

Our Mission

Our mission is to ease suffering, restore health and enhance the lives of our patients through education and innovative, comprehensive pain management.

What is Pain Management

Pain medicine is a medical specialty devoted to the care of patients suffering from acute or chronic pain, or who require palliative care. The goal is to ease the suffering and improve the quality of life of those in pain. Proper pain management incorporates the following principles of the American Academy of Pain Management:

  • Pain management should be grounded in a healthy, supportive relationship between the patient and physician.
  • Pain management should focus on all facets of the patient’s life and well--being–his mind, body and his spirit.
  • Pain management should be based on data from exhaustive studies and tests to ensure the treatment plan is specifically tailored for the patient.

WHAT WE DO / WHY CHOOSE ADVANCED PAIN CARE

At Advanced Pain Care, we evaluate all patients in a comprehensive manner, in order to recommend the treatment options most likely to provide effective pain management. Typically, we utilize interventional techniques, medication management, and integrative care options to treat our patients.

For example, minimally invasive interventional techniques are often used to help diagnose and treat painful conditions. Nerve blocks, steroid injection, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation are examples of interventional procedures.

Our expertise is not limited to injections and procedures. We offer full service pain management, including expert consultation and management of pain medication issues.

Dr. Greenberg has a varied professional background and multiple areas of interest. This allows patients to benefit from a broad base of knowledge and experience. We provide treatments such as Intramuscular Stimulation and Prolotherapy that are not readily available in more limited settings.

We recognize that chronic pain is not just a pain that has persisted for a prolonged period of time. Rather, it is a chronic medical condition of perceived pain after the initial pain-producing event has resolved or healed. Chronic pain is a disease that requires specialized care; it is not just a symptom of some other underlying condition.

Dr. Greenberg is uniquely focused and specialized in providing state-of-the-art pain care. He is current with the latest technology, expert with the appropriate use of pain medications, and most importantly, committed to improving your well-being and quality of life.
